Anna Eytcheson

November 12, 1962 — October 1, 2021

Anna Marie Eytcheson, 58, of Independence, went home to her Lord Jesus October 1, 2021 at Montgomery Place after a quick decline in health due to liver cancer.  Anna was born November 12, 1962 in Attica, Kansas to Earl and Mildred Floyd, both deceased, the youngest of 6 children.   She is survived by her two sisters, Nan (John) Mothes of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Shirley (Edgar) Barrett, of Attica, KS, her brothers, Jerry (Phebe) Floyd, of Bristow, OK, and Bill Floyd, of Paola, KS, and their families.   One brother, LeRoy Bo Floyd, passed before her.

Annie was raised on the family farm, loved riding horses and running free.  She attended Attica Faith Baptist Church and had many friends in that area.  She left school early to live with her older brother Bill in Independence.  Annie married and had two sons, Kyle (Autumn) of Fort Collins, CO and Casey (Carie), of Caney, KS.  When they were young, she moved her family to Anthony, Kansas to raise them around family.  Annie was a hard working gal, loved farm life and her boys, and spent her free time fishing at whatever “honey hole” she was frequenting at the time with her canine pals.  She had a ready smile, a generous spirit, and a loving heart.  She is also survived by a beloved niece and great nephew, Julianna Fritts and Matthew Floyd, her granddaughter Taylor and two young grandsons, Garrett and Kyler.    Annie will be missed by her family, friends and fishing companions.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Webb and Rodrick Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m. October 16, 2021 on the East side of the oval at Riverside Park under the picnic shelter, followed by a pot luck dinner if you'd like to bring a dish.
