Betty Harnar

Betty J Harnar, age 85 of Independence, Kansas passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at her residence with her family by her side.

Betty J. Harnar was born July 6, 1935 in Denton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Paul C Harnar. She is fondly remembered by her daughter Paula K. Reddy, son Jim Harnar, daughter-in-law Robin Harnar, grandchildren; Jason Reddy, Jaime Reddy, Tyson Harnar, and Tim Harnar and 7 great-grandchildren.

Betty provided acts of kindness by cooking meals for various events held at the Independence museum. She also enjoyed participating as a member of the Red Hat Society. She graciously volunteered at the Mercy Hospital snack bar. She also has served as the Blood Mobile Chairman.
