Judy was elected as a trustee for Independence Township and served as the treasurer for many years. For many years, while Elmer was a volunteer for the Montgomery County Rural Fire Dept., Judy would make calls to other firemen on the calling tree and was very supportive of the entire department. Judy devoted her life to her family and friends, and she adored her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She also grew very close to the many students she worked with while employed in the school district.
