Chase Holt

Chase Casey Kyle Holt, 24, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at his home in Independence, Kansas. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Webb and Rodrick Chapel. A Celebration of Chase’s life will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence on Wednesday, August 19th at 10:00 am. On Saturday, August 22nd the family will hold a tree planting memorial and Celebration of Chase’s life at 2:00 pm at Grandma Marla’s house, 1600 Wint Independence, KS 67301.

Chase was welcomed into this world on October 3, 1995 in Beaufort, South Carolina to Casey Holt and Jessica McGraw. Chase attended Independence High School graduating in 2016. Chase was a caring and loving individual. Nobody was a stranger around Chase. He loved to talk and tell stories with everyone he met. His good-natured heart showed with his career path. He was the caregiver for his 92-year-old grandmother. Chase was the typical 24-year-old, he loved spending time with his friends. “Opossum” as his friends and family kindly nicknamed him, enjoyed spending time outside with his dogs, Sadie, Daisey and Luna and with his nephew Brantley.

He is preceded in death by his son, Chance Holt, grandfather, Greg McGraw, and grandmother, Bonnie Holt.

Chase’s memory will carry on with his parents, Casey (Cindy) Holt, and Jessica (Lance) Stafford, brothers; Cash Holt, Cole Holt, Cade Holt, Gabe Eades, Logan Stafford, Luke Stafford and Landon Stafford, sisters; Haylie Eades, Courtney Holt, and Brooke Holt, grandparents; Marla McGraw, and Janice and Robert Golden, great grandmother, Velda Hayden, nephews; Brantley Holt and Tyson Holt, and nieces; Allie Holt, Jozie Felts, and Adelyne Cunningham. Memorial contributions can be made in Chase’s name to AWOL of Independence and may be left with Webb and Rodrick Chapel.
