Dolores Mills

Dolores J. Mills, 81, Sycamore, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Montgomery Place in Independence, Kansas. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 19, 2018 at Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory the family will greet visitors on Sunday, February 18, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the chapel. Memorials may be made to Sycamore United Methodist Church or Harry Hynes Hospice and may be let with chapel.
Dolores was born February 11, 1937 in Neodesha, Kansas to John and Adah (Cooper) Kerner. She attended and graduated from Neodesha, Kansas schools. In 1956 Dolores was untied in marriage to Earl W. Mills in Neodesha, Kansas. The couple moved around some before settling in Sycamore, Kansas. Dolores was employed by Electrica, I.C.C Food Service and retiring from DANA in 2002. Dolores was also a longtime active member of the Sycamore United Methodist Church serving cuff dinners. Dolores dedicated her life to her husband and family never missing any activity that her granddaughters had. Camping and spending time with her family at Havana Lake was a great joy to her.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Marjorie Pence. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 61 years Earl, one daughter Dana and husband Shawn Mundy, Independence, Kansas; two granddaughters, Chelsea and husband Kale Cunningham, Joplin, Missouri; Brooke Mundy, Joplin, Missouri; and one brother, John and wife Sherri Kernre, Canal Fulton, Ohio.
