Dorthey Bowers

Dorothey Jean Bowers passed away on December 11th, 2022, at Medicalodges in Independence, Kansas.

Dorothey was born on March 19th, 1954, in Marianna, Arkansas to Cecil Bennett Sr and Bessie Mae Hughes.

Services will be held at Webb & Rodrick Chapel on Friday December 16th with visitation starting at 11AM and the funeral service following at 12PM. Dorothey will be buried in Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas.

Proceeding in death are her parents Cecil and Bessie Mae Bennett, Lillie Be Marshall, and Alice Mae Bennett.

Surviving members of her family are her children; Steve Bowers (Autumn) of Independence, Kansas, the twins Johnny   and Willie Bowers of Independence, Kansas, Robert Bowers of Independence, Kansas, Dorothey Bowers of Independence, Kansas, and Sharon Bowers of Texas. Grandchildren; Lillie Dell Bennett of Coffeyville, Kansas, Emma Sean Walker of Independence, Kansas, Diana Hadley of Topeka, Kansas, Shirley Ann Bennett of Topeka, Kansas, and Corean Allen of Wichita, Kansas. Cecil Bennett Jr of Independence, Kansas, Jimmy Lee Bennett of Kansas City, Missouri, Willie Be Bennett of Topeka, Kansas, and Borise Bennett of Coffeyville, Kansas.

Dorothey was loved deeply by all who knew her, and she will be missed very much.
