Elinor Ruberson

Elinor Ruberson, beloved Mother and Grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on January 4, 2018. She entered this world on May 14, 1924 in Republican City Nebraska, born to Cora G Cowles and Vernon D Bush. She is survived by her son Vernon S Ruberson and daughter-in-law Karen K Ruberson from Peoria AZ, son Charles A Ruberson and daughter-in-law Joyce White from Albuquerque NM, and grandsons Eric B Ruberson, Charles C Ruberson, and Mike J Ruberson.
Elinor was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin R Ruberson, daughter Melissa R Ruberson, sister Dorothy Bush Thompson, brother Evertte Bush and grandsons Jonathon and Jason Ruberson.
Elinor lived in Independence from 1955-2011 and was active in the Methodist Church Circle and volunteered in many community activities over the years. In 2011 she moved to Arizona and spent her final years with her son Vernon Ruberson and his wife Karen Ruberson.
Elinor was an avid collector of dolls and hummingbirds. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, reading, traveling and spending time with her grandsons.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. January 10,2018 at Webb & Rodrick Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence, KS.
