Gregory A. Chubb, age 35 of Hopkins, Minnesota, passed away June 30th, 2015, after a short but valiant, fight with stage IV colon cancer, first diagnosed on May 10th, 2015.
Greg was born in Topeka, KS July 30, 1979 to Jeff and Bev (McEndarffer) Chubb and was raised in Independence, KS. Following graduation from high school, he attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence graduating with Bachelor's Degrees in Sociology and Psychology. For over 10 years Greg was a teacher at Athlos Leadership Academy (New Visions Academy) and was recently promoted to Assistant Principal. Greg valued his role as a leader and mentor to students, administration and his peers more than anything. He committed his time and energy to being the most incredible husband, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, grandson, uncle, friend, teacher, and person he could be. Greg loved sports, especially KU basketball, spending time with friends, and enjoying the sunshine at the "Compound." Most of all, Greg loved his family. Greg leaves an incredible legacy and a huge hole in all of our hearts.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer; parents Jeff and Bev Chubb, sister Lacy Chubb; brother Nick Chubb (Amber); nieces Sophie, Natalie, Nora and Frankie and nephews Jake, Wyatt and Nicholas; grandparents Mary Jane Chubb, Pat McEndarffer and Richard Chubb (Johna).
