Jack Fred Thomas was born June 8, 1926 to W.D. (Bill) and Margaret (Lett) Thomas at Barnsdall, Oklahoma.
Mr. Thomas had the honor of serving in The Army during World War II in the European Theatre and in the Air Force during the Korean War.
Thomas married Nancy Logsdon on September 30, 1978.
He was a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and The Permian Basin Safety Society of Engineers in the Midland/Odessa, Texas area. He spent many years as safety director of J.P. (Bum) Gibbons headquartered in Midland Texas and in the four corners area. He also was employed as a Safety Supervisor at the KAAP in Parsons, KS. He received his schooling at Sycamore and Independence, Kansas and numerous military schools. He is a 70+ year member of the American Legion and a lifetime of the VFW. He was a founding member of Rural Water District #13.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Thomas; a daughter, Billye Jo Thomas; grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marietta Kay; brother, Bill; and sister, Marian (Dudie) Harkreader.
Memorial Services for Jack will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Webb & Rodrick Chapel. Before the service visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018.
