Jamal K. Brown, 28, Independence, Kansas passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019. Memorial Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas. Friends may register on Monday, April 1, 2019 at Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving guest from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Memorials in honor of Jamal may be made to AWOL and may be left with the chapel.
Jamal was born on July 31, 1990 in Bartlesville Oklahoma to Jay R. Jones & Angela (Brown) Henderson. He was raised in Independence and graduated from Independence High School. He had been employed by Frito Lay, Fed Ex and at the time of death was assistant manager at G&W Foods in Cherryvale Ks. Jamal was preceded in death by his brother Marcus Brown, grandparents William and Eva Brown and grandmother Janet Jones. Survivors include his mother Angela Henderson of Independence, Kansas, father Jay Jones, Atlanta Georgia, Grandfather Robert S. Jones, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, brother Ryan Crenshaw, Bartlesville, Oklahoma and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
