Karen Sue Lyons age 65 of Chautauqua was reunited with her husband in the presence of God on December 19, 2014. Karen was welcomed to this world on March 22, 1949 to Earnest and Inez Humphrey Cummings in Chautauqua, KS. Karen and her 11 siblings were raised in Pawhuska where she attended and received her diploma from Pawhuska High School. With 12 children there were many sacrifices made and Karen was always willing to go without so someone else would be just a little happier. Karen met Tommy Lyons during school and the couple wrote each other while Tommy proudly served his country during Vietnam. Once Tommy returned home the couple was united in marriage on December 29, 1969 at the Church of the Nazarene in Pawhuska. To this union they were blessed with a daughter. Karens life work was her family she had an eternal, unconditional, untiring love for her husband, daughter, and grandchildren. Always taking care of others needs, even through her sickness Karen was a wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. To carry on her memory she leaves her daughter Amy Bloomfield and soninlaw Shawn Bloomfield grandchildren: Madison, Cal, and Mallory Bloomfield 3 brothers: Duane, Ronnie, and David Cummings 8 sisters: Nadene Myers, Shirley Hazlett, Janice Lane, Janet Delaney, Mary Calhoun, Joyce McNich, Brenda McKinzie, and Gwen Moreau.
