Kenneth Ray Moore Jr., 30, of Independence, Kansas passed away on April 16, 2020 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Ken was born on February 6, 1990 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Ken and Mary Moore. He was the youngest of four children. At the age of five, Ken and his siblings were orphaned when his mother and father’s plane crashed in April of 1995. He was adopted by his grandmother, Mary Howard. Moving all over from Coffeyvile, KS, Sedan, KS, Tyrone, OK, also attending Tyro Community Christian School. Ken was known as an excellent football player, and spent time working at the nursing home in Sedan.
As an adult Ken resided in Independence with his partner, Christina Powell, having two daughters, Aria and Elizabeth. Ken worked at Hackney, acquiring another family of friends and coworkers. Ken was known as a fun guy and someone you could really get along with. Ken will be remembered as a loving, and caring father, brother, and friend.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Ken Sr. and Mary Moore, and daughter, Elizabeth Melissa Sue Moore.
Ken’s memory will carry on with his partner, Christina Powell, daughter, Aria, sisters, Desiree Johnson, Mindy Hatton, and April Moore, and grandmother, Mary Howard.
Friends are welcomed to sign the register at Webb and Rodrick Chapel in Independence on Wednesday, April 29th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. A private family ceremony will take place on April 30th where Ken and his daughter Elizabeth will be laid to rest together.
