Lea Stanley

Lea Ann Stanley, 68, Independence, Kansas passed away on Friday December 30, 2016 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at Webb & Rodrick Chapel, Independence, Kansas with burial to follow at Edna Cemetery Edna, Kansas. Memorials in honor of Lea Ann may be made to AWOL and may be left with the chapel.
Lea Ann was born August 14, 1948 in Smith Center, Kansas to Howard and Zola (Elwood) Asbury. The family then moved to Edna, Kansas where Howard opened a John Deere Dealership. Lea Ann attended and graduated from Edna Kansas Schools. Then Lea Ann attended and graduated from Coffeyville Beauty College. Lea Ann married Tom Blevins in Coffeyville, Kansas in 1964 the couple later divorced. Lea Ann later married Keith Cole in Coffeyville, Kansas in 1968 and the couple moved to Dewey, Oklahoma and later divorced. Lea Ann later married Stan Stanley in 1982 in Miami, Oklahoma. The couple lived in Bartlesville, Oklahoma the couple later divorced and Lea Ann moved to Bernice, Oklahoma where she lived for several years before moving to Independence, Kansas in 2009 to be close to her family. Lea Ann enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening, anything to do with history, cooking for her family and spending time with her family.
Lea Ann was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include two daughters, Cindy (Dave) Neises, Independence, Kansas, Tina Cole, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, one brother Larry Asbury, Edna, Kansas, two grandsons, Cory (Nicoloette) Reyes, Toms River, New Jersey, Derek (Brandie) Reyes, Independence, Kansas and two great-grandsons, Bryant and Brendyn Reyes.
