Lorita Emily LeRoy of Independence, KS died Sunday December 21st at the Moran Manor Nursing Home at Moran, KS. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Tuesday, December 30th at 2:00 p.m. at Webb Rodrick Chapel and Crematory with Gerald Eytcheson, officiating. Family visitation will be held on Monday, December 29th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel. The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church and memorials may be left at the Chapel.
Lorita was born in Cauthron, Arkansas on September 17, 1917, the daughter of William and Hattie Hall Brooks. On January 16, 1937 in Arma, KS she was united in marriage to Henry LeRoy, Sr. Mr. LeRoy preceded her in death. She had been a homemaker and had also worked as a waitress in Pittsburg, KS, in Independence she had worked at Darleys IGA, Edmonistons and Electra Manufacturing. She had also worked as a bookkeeper at LeRoys Motor Supply Co.
She is survived by her son: Henry LeRoy, Jr. and his wife Marsha of Independence, KS. Her daughter, Helen E. Belk and her husband Bill of Winston, Oregon. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and four brothers. Webb Rodrick Chapel Crematory is entrusted with the arrangements.
