Marion Dodson

Marion "Dale" Dodson also known as Butch and Tiny, 76, Elk City, Kansas passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at The Journey Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory with burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Elk City, Kansas. Memorials may be made to the Louisburg Township Rural Fire Department and may be left with the chapel. The family will greet visitors on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the chapel.
Dale was born September 18, 1942 in Elk City, Kansas to Fred and Alberta (Newton) Dodson. Dale attended and graduated from Elk City, Kansas Schools. Dale was employed the Kansas Department of Transportation for many years and he loved working in his garden and sharing his harvest with everyone in town. Dale had a love for life and people he would mow your lawn and push the snow off your drive always looking out for others before himself. Dale was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Carl Dodson. Those left to cherish his memory include one brother, Leo (Emma) Dodson, Jefferson, Kansas; one sister, Mary Ann Knapp, Wichita, Kansas; 2 nephews and 5 nieces and many Elk City friends.
