Pamela Sue Lane, 57, Independence, Kansas.
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela Sue Lane. Her passing came suddenly and unexpectedly. Pam was a positive influence to everyone around her and always put others' needs above her own. If you were fortunate to know her, you experienced her kindness, compassion, and positivity.
Pam was born on February 14th, 1964 to Virginia and David Price in Wichita, KS. She was raised in Coffeyville, KS with two older brothers, Mike and Paul, and one younger brother, Roger. She met Randy Lane while attending college and they were wed in 2005, both bringing children to the marriage. Pam's two sons, Mike and Cody, and Randy's three children, April, Heidi, and Jessi. Pam worked for Coffeyville School District as the Child Nutrition Services Director. She was passionate about the students and making sure they were fed, even spending her own money to pay for meals when a student was unable to do so. She enjoyed cooking, traveling with Randy, and her two puppies. She was also an avid reader and worked on writing a book of her own.
Pam was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Price, and her father David Price. She is survived by her sons Cody Prather of Coffeyville, KS, Mike Prather of Tulsa, OK, her husband Randy Lane of Independence, KS, bonus children, April (Andrew) Jones of Pierce City, MO, Heidi Lane of Lawton, OK, Jessi (Katie) Lane of Gardner, KS, and five grandchildren, Garin Cole, Delilah Jones, Remi Jones, August Lane and Milo Lane. She also leaves behind three older brothers, Roger Price of South Coffeyville, Mike Price of Coffeyville and Paul Price of Wichita.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory with burial to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
