Pamela Diane Lawrie, 64, of Tulsa, OK., transitions from earth to glory on Sunday, December 12th, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital South.
Pamela was born on May 31st, 1957, in Independence, Ks. The daughter of Edmond Brown and Florene Benson. She attended and graduated from Independence High School. Pamela gave her life to Christ and was a member of St. Johns Baptist Church where she was in charge of the youth choir during Christmas programs. She later joined Calvery Baptist Church, Pastor Scott Gordon of Tulsa, Ok. Pamela worked at ACC for many years and later ran a foster home where she soon became a foster parent to several kids in the community. Pamela always had a house full of kids whom she helped raise and greatly enjoyed. Although Pamela worked very hard, you could always catch her at Pep and Isaac sporting events being their number one fan. Pamela Lawrie was married to Kirby Lawrie Sr and was later divorced. To this Union Kirby (Pep) Lawrie Jr and William Isaac Lawrie were born. She later relocated to Houston, Tx, eventually moved back home to Kansas but then made a home in Tulsa, OK where she had a host of friends and friends who became family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Edmond Brown and Florene Benson, her son; Kirby (Pep) Lawrie Jr, Siblings; Philip Brown, Paulette Brown and Todd Martin all of Tulsa, Ok.
Pamela leaves a legacy of love in her surviving family members; children William Isaac Lawrie (Tanika) Tulsa, OK and twelve grandchildren; Darrius Lawrie, Jalynn Lawrie, Aubree Lawrie, Taye Lawrie, Jaslynn & J'vontae Phifer, Asaunti Dunn, Jamarion Rhone, Sedranice (Nene) Lawrie, Jarius Bossell, Trejean Lawrie and Alkymmi Lawrie. Siblings; Richard Martin of Tulsa, OK and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. A book signing will be available at Webb and Rodrick Chapel on Friday, December 17th from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The family will also greet friends for the visitation on Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Crystal Brook Church in Independence, KS on Saturday, December 18th at 11:00 am.
