Patricia Helm

Patricia A. Helm, 80, Independence, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Wilson County Medical Center in Neodesha, Kansas. Cremation has taken place and private memorial services will be held at a later date. Friends may register on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory from 8:00 -5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AWOL and may be left with the Chapel.
Patricia was born September 18, 1935 in Chanute, Kansas to Don T. and Christine M. (Shirck) Helm she attended and graduated from Independence Schools in 1953. Following graduation Patricia was employed by U.S.D. 446 Board of Education where she remained employed for over 40 years serving as secretary to several superintendent of schools. In her free time Patricia enjoyed traveling and visited 48 states and Canada. Patricia also enjoyed photography, doing crafts and loved dogs.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, a baby sister Donna Helm and a nephew Stephen Hudson. Survivors include her sister Beverly Hudson of Independence, one nephew David and wife Kathy Hudson, Ft. Worth, TX, two nieces, Connie and husband Marty Weiss, Albuquerque, NM, and Wendy and husband Phillip Fienen, Independence, KS and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
