Rayford D. Frisco, age 91, of Independence, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at Medicalodges of Independence. Mr. Frisco will lie in state on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Webb & Rodrick Chapel & Crematory. Funeral services will start at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Gloria Butler of Quinn Chapel presiding. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Frisco was born February 8, 1923 in Mansura, LA, the son of Isaac and Laura Frisco. He attended local schools. He was a proud WWII veteran of the U.S. Army. He had employed at the Ammunition Plant in Parsons, KS and then at the U.S. Post Office for 30 years. He had been a member of Quinn Chapel A.M.E. for 60 years.
Mr. Frisco is survived by one daughter: Raye Marie Frisco of Tampa, FL and one son: James E. Frisco of Cottage Grove, MN as well as 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Sandra Kaye Frisco and a son; Charles E. Frisco.
Webb & Rodrick Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements.
