Reta Beth Coursey Smock went to be with her Lord and Savior November 13, 2013 after an extended illness. She was residing at Medicalodges, Independence, Kansas. She was a member of the First Church of God in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Reta was born August 27, 1946 to Marvin Earnest and Eula Elizabeth (nee Thompson) Coursey in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Reta had a varied career in the health service industry. The most rewarding was as an office manager in Shawnee.
She will be missed by her surviving family which includes her sister Joyce Erwin and husband Tom, daughter Aimee Vanderford (Bobby), son Steve, and son-in-law James Knoles.
Surviving grandchildren are Hunter Vanderford, Frank (Kaysea) Knoles, Cleve (Abby) Knoles, Bryce (Samantha) Smock and great grandson, Logan Knoles.
Also surviving are nephews Randy Kelley and children J.D., John, Beth Ann (Matt) Winter, children Molly and Mason. Rusty Kelley (Wanda) and children Shaun (Sarah) children Jacob and June, Elizabeth (Kelsey) Nash, and Shay Kelley. Scott Erwin (Tammy) and Andy Erwin (Leanne), children Nick Erwin and Rachel McCulley.
