Robert (Bobby) Leroy Mills peacefully left this world to spread his wings on November 6th, 2020. Born August 14th, 1963 to John and Margaret Mills in Independence, KS, Bobby lived a full and vibrant life. He blessed many, many people with his friendship, warm smile, humor, love, hugs, talents, his music, laughter, and kindness. Bobby graduated Independence High School in 1981. He excelled in woodshop class and played the saxophone in the band. He married the love of his life, Lisa Bryant, on May 8th, 1987. Together, they raised their three beautiful daughters and made their home in Independence, before settling in Sycamore, where they built their home. Bobby made his career as a flooring installer for over 30 years. He was a handy man and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Once his daughters had their own houses, he was always helping remodel, repair or installing something! He was "Mr. Fix-it". When he wasn't working, Bobby loved to deer and turkey hunt, fish, cruise the dirt roads, anything outdoors, woodwork, play music, spend time with his friends and family, and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren. Bobby was a talented musician and sang and played bass in various bands through the years since he was a kid. He encouraged his daughters to always use their talents and loved seeing them come to fruition. If you knew Bobby, he was your friend, a friend but more like a brother. He lived big and loved hard. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his loving brother, Ronnie Mills, father-n-law, Jim Bryant, and sister-in-law, Kathy Mills. To carry on his memory, he leaves behind his wife, Lisa Mills of Independence, KS, daughters Traci (Zakk) Lumm of Sycamore, KS, Emily Mills (Jason Russell) of Independence, KS, Hannah (Dalton) Friesen of Sycamore, KS, grandchildren Abigail Russell, Ryland Russell, and Jordan Friesen, step-mother, Joyce Mills of Lexington, SC, mother-in-law, Martha Bryant of Copan, OK, siblings John (Susan) Mills of Leesville, SC, Anita (Ron) Jones of Ozawkie, KS, and Mabel (Jim) Livergood, Ozawkie, KS, a brother-in-law, Randy (Laurie) Bryant of Cherryvale, KS an aunt and uncle and many cousins and nieces and nephews.
