Steven Moore

Steven Neil Moore, age 65 of Coffeyille, Kansas, departed this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 10, 2020 at his home in Coffeyville.

Steven Neil Moore was born on March 17, 1954 in Lawrence, Kansas to Clifford and Bessie Moore. Steven graduated from Lawrence High School in 1972. On November 23, 2013 Steven married Robin Heitz in Coffeyville, Kansas. Steven loved to share the Word of God and tell stories from the Bible. He loved to watch the old black and white movies especially The Twilight Zone, study the Bible, read, and learn anything about history. Steven was a Civil War enthusiast, he loved to learn, listen, read and talk about the Civil War and he was always happy to share those stories with anyone that would listen. Steven will be remembered as loving, kind, gentle husband, father, grandfather, and friend who loved life and all his family deeply.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Bessie Moore, and brothers, Richard and Gary Moore.

Steven’s memory will carry on with his wife, Robin of the home, sons, Christopher Moore of Michigan, David (Shirley) Moore of West Virginia, and Joshua Moore of Michigan, daughters, Ashley Moore of Michigan, Jaime (Christopher) Hedrick of Derby, Kansas, and Samantha Workman of Coffeyville, brother, Michael (Roberta) Moore of De Soto, Kansas, sister, Patricia (Marty) Hoover of Lawrence, Kansas, sister in-laws, Nola Moore of Ottawa, Kansas, and Louise Moore of Lawrence, Kansas, nine grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of Steven’s life will be held at Jesus Name House of Prayer in Chetopa, Kansas on March 7th at 1:00 PM.
