Teddi "Anne" Malloy was born August 18, 1955, at the Coffeyville Memorial Hospital to Wilbur F. Lesslie and Jean (Newmaster) Lesslie. She grew up in Sycamore, Kansas and attended the Sycamore school in her early school years, transferring to the Independence school system where she graduated from high school in 1973. She attended Independence Community College, Kansas State University, and graduated from Bartlesville Wesleyan College with a degree in accounting.
Over the years, she was employed at various businesses in the Southeast Kansas area including: Sherwood Construction, Keith Construction, Cement Plant at Independence, Custom at Chanute, and was employed at Earth Care Products in Independence at the time of her death on December 5, 2017.
Anne and Dennis Wayne Malloy were married in May of 1985. The couple later divorced. In June of 1987, the light of her life, son Seth Malloy was born. She enjoyed watching him grow into a fine young man and loved watching him play in all his different sports endeavors. She loved dogs and had many over the years, helping in the rescue of many of them. She wanted to keep them all.
Surviving are her son Seth and his wife Calley, and grandson Felix Malloy all of Shawnee, Kansas, her parents of Independence, and brother Fred M. Lesslie and his wife Kellie of Muldrow, Oklahoma.
Visitation hours will be from 2 to 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Webb & Rodrick 306 West Main Street, Independence, KS 67301. Services will be held at 11 o'clock Monday, December 11, 2017, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 3167 S. Tenth Street, Independence, Kansas 67301.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in Anne's name to AWOL Humane Society, 325 S. 23rd Street, Independence, Kansas 67301.
