William Hauser

November 16, 1928 — February 24, 2015

William "Bill" Hauser, age 86, of Hawthorn, Florida passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Palatka, Florida after an extended illness.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2015 at Webb & Rodrick Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Visitation is from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence.

He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas to Clemit and Isabelle Hauser on November 16, 1928.

After attending Wichita business College in Wichita, KS he went to work for Sinclair Oil Co in Independence, KS. Eventually ending up at Atlantic Richfield Corp in Philadelphia, PA. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 32nd Degree.

After retirement he moved to Reeds Spring, MO where he and his wife owned and operated Hausers Junction Store. From there, he lived in Independence and eventually moved to Hawthorne, FL.

He is survived by his son Randy Hauser and wife, Marie of Hawthorne, FL; his daughters, Sheryl Ratliff and husband, Don of Rose Hill, KS, Toni Finch and husband, Jeff of North Aurora, IL; his son, Monte Hauser and wife, Kim of Vincent Town, NJ; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents: by his wife, Colleen Dawson Hauser, daughter, Shelly Hauser and brother, Phillip Hauser.

Webb & Rodrick Chapel has been entrusted with the local arrangements.
